messages of solidarity_EN

The Messages for Solidarity Initiative was created in response to the events of October 7. Our mission is to deliver a resounding message:

Am Yisrael Chai!   !עם ישראל חי

These are challenging times for Israeli society and Jewish communities worldwide.

Through our initiative, educators and students from Jewish communities across the globe exchange messages of support and solidarity with their peers in Israel.

Together, we’ll illuminate the darkness with sparks of light and hope.

Join us today in showing your brothers and sisters in Israel they’re not alone. It’s who we are, who we’ve always been, and who we’ll always be.

You can explore thousands of these messages in several languages on our website.

Educators, send your messages of solidarity to Israeli students and educators

Am Yisrael Chai עם ישראל חי

“My daughter received your letter yesterday. It was beautiful, and it made her smile from ear to ear. Your letter reminded my daughter and I that we’re not alone. That we’re a part of a large, beautiful, diverse, Jewish tapestry. We feel you with us, and we hope you know that it means the world to us.” —

Dear Israeli,

Hi. I am a freshman in highschool in Chicago, Illinois. I want you to know that the Jewish community and others admire your strength. We see your pain and feel for you. We stand with you. We know that you may be scared, but remember that we are supporting you. Stay strong!

Dear friend,

I hope this letter finds you well. My name is Maya and I am an 8th grader at Gideon Hausner Jewish Day School, which is in California, USA. I am thirteen years old. I have two siblings and I play tennis and violin. I also love to cook, read, write, and spend time with friends. I cannot imagine having my world turn upside down, and the fear you are experiencing. Know that you are so brave and courageous, and that there are people actively trying to help you. Just last night, our local Jewish community center held a rally for Israel with over 2000 people, with many other protests and fundraisers in support of Israel being held all over the USA.

Though my community and I are very far away, we see your pain and feel for you. I know you probably feel alone and that the whole world is against you. However, know that you are not alone. Americans, as well as people all over the world, are raising money and trying to support Israel and its citizens in any way we can. We stand with you, and you are always in our hearts, minds, and prayers.

Warmest wishes,

Maya M

I hope you all are doing well, I wish the best for everyone in Israel. Hopefully that everyone is
fine. We support every Israeli there and we understand that you are suffering. But this will end
soon and everything will be better.
